Landan is celebrating the big 34 today. We celebrated with cake and going to lunch. I bought him a new waffle maker which is a big deal to me because I hate, hate, HATE it when he makes pancakes or waffles. I know that is probably strange to some people, but I cannot handle the mess he makes in creating his favorite breakfast item. Just imagine splatters on the wall, counter tops and floor and pancake batter isn't the easiest to clean up.

love the pictures of addie! and was the waffle maker to help stop the messes? or a gesture of peace?
Wow, that is truly sacrifice to buy something you hate for his birthday. Or it's love...
Oh wait, those two are synonyms.
Happy Birthday to Landan and I'm glad to see my favorite of Addie made your top three. :)
Gorgeous photos!
Maybe you should consider a steam cleaner to go with the waffle maker.
He must really go wild with that batter:)
I too am wondering how splattered batter ends up everywhere...maybe instead of a waffle maker you could have me come over and show him how to gracefully make pancakes.
Love those Addie pix. Too hard to choose a fave!
I love those pictures. And how great a gift a waffle maker is. Contain that mess!
Maybe you should video tape the waffle making so we can all experience it! Addie is beautiful and the pictures are lovely.
What a beautiful 8 year old!
Oh my gosh, Steph, I totally understand the waffle/pancake thing. I had a roomie who made waffles every morning but NEVER cleaned up after herself. I did b/c it was disgusting but then I went on strike and stopped doing the dishes. No one else in the apt did either. Needless to say the bowls of leftover batter molded. It was AWFUL. Finally I rallied a couple roomies and we did the dishes and put a ton of them in storage after they were cleaned. It helped so much but to this day I hate doing dishes. Anyway, sorry long comment.
