Life as I know it

Finding Peyton doing something he shouldn't happens a couple dozen times a day. I wish that made it easier to deal with, but it just means I am in a constant state of frustration, shock and dismay. How can this sweet little face cause such disasters??

So for the second time this week, I have caught Peyton covered from head to toe in Vaseline.

We also went to the canyon today. I just needed an adventure with the kids while Landan watched boring Football. It was fun for a very short period of time. Then Peyton decided he was going to try and dive in the rushing water. We went home.

I feel your pain babe. I don't know if this destruction will ever end with my little one.

Holy vaseline nightmare. At least his skin and hair will be nice and shiny!

I know the frustration! Our little angel lives to create disorder--I'm especially tired of our red dirt back yard, which combined with drool and snot makes for a muddy kid several times a day. Couldn't they just sit quietly and watch some football with Dad?
That vaseline had to be pretty hard to clean off?!

OH MAN!!! Alex has just discovered writing on walls with crayons. I LOVE it. It makes me just so happy she's taken her talents to the bigger canvas. (eyeroll).

As far as the football thing goes, I hear you. We went to the BYU game on Saturday and it was pretty fun. But why do we need to watch it EVERY second of the day? Do they take a man card if you don't? Anyway....It's the reason by the end of the season a brick could go through that TV and I'd be fine with it. Last night as Tyson was doing homework, I asked if it was okay if I turned on the TV. He said yes and Dirty Dancing was on. He quickly followed up with "as long as we don't watch this." I told him "welcome to my football hell. You are doing homework, you won't be watching it anyway." He said, "I still have to listen to it." and I said.....

"YES, I know. EXACTLY.

I'm about the most mature person on the planet. You don't need to tell me. :-)

(I know your post wasn't about football, but you know how I focused I stay on the task at hand.)

Oh yes, most of my posts are about my kids' messes and the messy, crazy, scary, frustrating they do.

oh dear, How do you do it?? :) Seriously, I tried. I can't handle it. Luckily, it was a trial run for me and I could give them back! :) It takes a wonderful person with patience!
