reflections

Addie was invited to the awards ceremony for the S district reflections contest. She won an Award of Merit. She was disappointed that this special award was just a piece of paper. She was hoping for a trophy. We are going to have to work on her acting skills her disappointment was very evident when she was handed the piece of paper. Thankfully, she recovered quickly and had a fun night. She was very excited to see her good friend, Camilla, who lives in Payson. She doesn't get see very often.
Notice the disappointment on her face. She also insisted on wearing her heels because it was a special night.

heeehee. Tell Addie that all good pageant princesses know how to smile through anything... but surely they could have thrown in a candybar to go with the piece of paper--just to make it worth the drive?!

AH, that has to be the cutest thing ever. Sometimes I wish we all had to live by the rules of childhood. No lies, and real emotions evident. Can you imagine how different the world would be if we couldn't do the socially responsible thing all the time? ;)

Congrats though. Just tell her it's easier to scrapbook paper as opposed to trophies -- even though I know you hate scrapbooking.

Congrats to Addie!! I'd feel the same way too!! A piece of paper? Where's the bling?

How funny- it's true- kids would rather get a little goody bag than a boring paper. She looks cute!

Ha! That's funny. One of our girls asked for a trophy for Christmas last year...At least Addie EARNED one.
Maybe you could fold that paper into an origami trophy or fan or something:)
