fun halloween

I must say, we had a good halloween. But, wow!! it is exhausting with two toddlers. Trey was Mr. T He was not very cooperative for pictures. The cookies were a bribe to keep him still for two seconds.
" I pity the fool"

whaz up G-ma?

Addie had issues with her costume. She was Jasmine. I made her wear a dance leotard underneath her dance costume to school. As soon as we got home she took off the leotard and told me it looked better

This way!!!

Peyton the teddy bear.

Isn't he sweet as honey?

Peyton's First birthday... One we will remember forever

We had a busy day yesterday. I had a lot to remember and unfortunately I left the house thinking I had my camera when I did not. So a big thanks goes out to Harmony, Kelly and my mom for bringing their cameras and playing photographer for me. Peyton celebrated his big day yesterday, by going to the temple and becoming part of a forever family.

We also went to Brick Oven and had Pizza and cake for the big day! Peyton had no problem gobbling up his cake.

We feel so lucky to have all these people attend the temple with us. Landan and I both have families who are great at supporting one another. I am also blessed with wonderful friends that attended. We really appreciate their support. Especially since this is the fourth time some of them have come to the temple for us.( Our wedding day, and all three children.)

Our beautiful little family.

Exploring!

Found Peyton playing inside the drawers in the kitchen. How fun it would be to be that small and have so many options for playing.
About 15 minutes later, I found peyton under the oven.

A little while later I found both boys playing inside the drawers. At least they weren't fighting!!

Oh what a night!!!! Home Sweet Home!!!

I opened the front door tonight, to tell Adddie to come in the house and was alarmed by the the natural gas smell. No, not the natural gas Landan leaks on a regular basis and is so proud of. But, rather the gas we pay for each month. I told Landan we should probably call Questar and aren't we glad we did.

Questar arrived at our house and after some investigating came to our front door and told us to get out immediately. We were not supposed to touch anything. Just get our kids and leave. They told us to expect to spend the night somewhere else. So, I ran to the boys bedroom to retrieve them and ran to the car. Only to find Landan carefully stacking all his bikes and checking the tires and giving them a nice rub down. The Questar guy reminded Landan again, to hurry and leave. He gave his bikes one more lingering glance and got in the car.

We arrived to my parents home. "surprise" we greeted them; "We are spending the night." I don't think they thought we were such a great surprise. Go figure! who wouldn't want Landan and I, two toddlers and a five year old to spend the night. Sounds like a treat to me.

My mom got busy setting up beds for us. My dad took out his hearing aids and turned the tv up really loud. Kristine(lil sis) started plotting on ways that us spending the night could some how result in her getting to stay home from church in the morning. I got the boys into bed and then we sat there.
Fortunately for us, at 10:30 they called us and told us we could come home. There was a gas leak against the west side of the house. They had fixed it and hallelujah we could go home. I don't know who was more relieved, Us? or my Dad?

Tagged by harmony on my quirks

Ok Harmony, only for you do I write my quirks

#1 I hate when people don't say the T sound in the middle of words such as, mountain, button etc...

#2 I love ketchup and use it for more than just fries. I put ketchup on baked potatoes, chicken, burritos, eggs, steak......

#3 I hate to do anything trendy. It took me 5 years after it was hot to read the Da Vinci code to read it myself, because I refused to read it when everyone was telling me to. I also refuse to get into the the twilight series for that same reason.
I am angry with myself when I give into the trendy things and actually enjoy them such as blogging and facebook.

#4 I don't like to sit for very long. I get really antsy pantsy! Sometimes I feel my kids do better at church than I do.

#5 I am a hypocrite as a mother. Almost everything I said I would never do I have done. Like enter my kids in baby contests.

#6 I can't keep my mouth shut when I disagree with someone. I feel it is better to talk about your disagreements than pretend you feel the same way. I don't try to be rude about it though. In fact, after I have run my mouth about how I feel, I spend a great deal of time wondering if I made someone feel bad.

#7 I can't totally relax without my pajama pants and a diet coke.

I tag any of my blogger friends who think they want to do this

Ballerina Box

For kindergarten dance this year, I am having one class do a dance where they dance inside of suitcases. Addie liked this idea so she chose to make up her own dance for BYU using a suitcase.
However, she chose to call her piece ballerina Box, because she is a ballerina coming out of a box.
She did a fairly good job choreographing it. I had to stop her a few times and tell her that certain things weren't appropriate like (no kidding) slapping her hiney. I don't know where she gets these things. Maybe from my past life as a pole dancer. ha ha
She was really fun to watch.
So good job Addie. Your mama is proud of you!

A mother's delight! The two year old was nice!

My biggest frustration lately, has been my sweety pants, Trey. He was such a good natured baby. Around 18 months of age, I believe aliens must have invaded his body. He became such a vicious little creature. He spends a great deal of every day in time-out. Tonight, however, I had the rare treat of nice Trey emerging. He was so cute and fun. I almost hated putting him in bed. I am hopeful that there will be many more nice Trey days ahead.

the results

The good news is the tumor is benign. The bad news is that it is abnormal. I am actually not sure what that means. I was just told because it is abnormal it will need to be watched. So biopsy #2 is in 6 months.

Not so pleasant post

My admittance bracelet!
Chilling at home after the biopsy
Well, since I am supposed to be keeping accurate journal of my life. I am adding a post that is not very cute, exciting, or fun. This one is just more informative. I had a breast biopsy today. The reason being, I have a tumor. Most likely scenario is that it is a benign tumor. I am supposed to find out on Wednesday. I am sparing you the graphic pictures of the incision sight for obvious reasons. Actually, a biopsy is not too bad. It only hurts when they stick the needle in. The extraction part, I couldn't feel a thing. Of course, they numbed me pretty good!!!

All dressed up and.......pumpkin patch?

If you are wondering why we would dress up to attend a pumpkin patch, I will try to satisfy your curiosity. Grandma P invited us to her pumpkin patch after court. Thus, my kids were already stylin in their Sunday best. She is camera shy don't ya think?

Peyton looking handsome! "Boys are noise with dirt."Harmony told me that when I was complaining about Trey's attraction to anything containing dirt. For all of you that have boys out there, tell me if you agree or disagree.

makes perfect sense.....to a five year old

Ask Addie
easy answers to lifes hard questions preface: Addie, Mackley and Luke are all cousins the same age. Addie and Mackley started kindergarten this year. J and H decided to keep Luke back a year.
story: Addie asked me why Luke wasn't in kindergarten with them. I explained to her that J and H were going to have him start next year. She responded "J and H really shouldn't have done that now me and Mackley will always be taller than him."

He is Just cute!!

Don't you want to look this happy!

Peyton is capable of standing on his own. I watched him drink an entire sippy cup standing. However, when he notices he is standing, he gives me an I am so big grin and then sits down quickly. Babies must think they are really far off the ground.

Day 3 The Zoo

We had a blast on our family vacation! Who says Utah isn't fun! Trey only had approximately 12 temper tantrums the entire time. So you can see he was on his best behavior. Addie only jumped in 97% of the pictures I was taking of the boys. She must be losing some of her vain tendencies. Landan only grumbled once before each activity. So, as you can see, the Vacation was a success!!! Enjoying the train ride

We loved the giraffes

The tiger show was cool!

The Hotel or the best part of the vacation according to Addie

The indoor pool and hot tub was Addie's best part of the whole vacation.

trashing the place!
Peyton has been caught drinking the hard stuff!

Day 2: childrens museum and Liberty park

Trey loved the duckies!

Trey and Peyton would have been happy playing in the water all day

Addie thought being a newsperson was pretty cool
