Thanksgiving festivities

We had a good Thanksgiving. This year was at my parent's house. It was the ON year so everybody was there. This is the green bean salad that my mom insists I make every year. I have tried protesting, but protesting doesn't work with my mom. This year people actually ate it. Maybe I am the next Paula Deen or Rachael Ray. ha ha

Turkeys making Turkeys. Aren't they sweet?

Peyton is thankful for his flexibility

We went to see the Festival of Lights. We heard a lot of "oh pretty" followed by "Wowee" and "Oh my gosh" from Trey. There was also a large amount of grumbling from the scrooge who was driving.

It was a good thanksgiving. I am thankful for the nice day, good food and fabulous company.

Happy thanksgiving!!!!!

Girls Night OUT!!! TWILIGHT

We went to see Twilight! We all enjoyed it!! Trying to show off my new bag. Does it look hot??
Trying to be like the Brady bunch

We might secretly be Vampires!!!

horrible night disasterous morning

Guilty as charged!!!!! Peyton is guilty for giggling at non appropriate hours of the night and banging sippy cup against the wall.
Trey is guilty for giggling, light switching on and off and for causing a tornado in his bedroom.

At 2:00 am, I awoke to hear banging and laughter. Trey and Peyton were both wide awake and giggling up a storm. I ignored them at first, but the laughing and banging kept going and going..... So finally I went in their room and told them to go back to sleep. Trey said "ok Mommy" and put his favorite blanky back in his mouth and settled down. I closed the door and about 5 seconds later I heard the light switch click on and then a lot of giggling. This went on until about 5 am. They finally both went back to sleep. 8:00 am, they were awake and when I opened the door this is what I found.

Grandparents Day!!!!

Addie had grandparents day on Friday. She was one lucky little girl. Grandma and Grandpa Huff, Grandma Carla and Grandma Patty were all able to be there. She loved getting to spend time with all of her grandparents.
" Grandpa Huff was the awesomest" said Addie. "I am happy he is my Grandpa I love him."

"All of my Grandparents are special. I am glad that I got to ride home with Grandma Carla."

One year older and wiser too..........

I can't believe I am 32. Where does the time go? Patty made me a fabulous pumpkin pie with cash inside. It was wrapped in tin foil and I thought it was a piece of gum. Pie and Cash is a glorious combination.
Mom gave me this cute bag(pictured above) as well as the many items on the table which included lotion, book, Swedish fish, baked lays, cookies and look below for the most awesome picture

Isn't this great! The boy in the painting resembles Trey. I think it is the face expression that is similar.

Megan gave me these incredible chocolates. Which she told me to only eat one at a time Ya Right! But the most awesome part was getting birthday beverages.

Is this a sign of old age? When going to get a beverage with your bff and a car load of kids is a spectacular day.
Thanks to everyone who wished me happy birthday on facebook.

Cheers to good friends!!!!

Celebrating the Big 32 with my peeps! Kathie, Megan, me, Rhonda I have the most awesome friends! We get together five times a year to celebrate each birthday and catch up on current events. We have been a posse since Jr. High when we would hide out in the instrument closet in the band room to avoid going to the school dance.

As friends we have been there for each other through good times and bad. I know I can always count on them. Wow!! am I ever lucky to have such supportive friends.
This is Heather, part of my posse. She went MIA if anybody has seen her let us know. (just kidding) We missed you tonight! Hope to see you at Megs big day

St George

Carlene and I take our children twice a year to St. George. We always have fun, but with five children 5 and under, it sometimes is chaos. Everyone bathing together after the trip to the sand dunes. Check out Hallie's face.
This is me after Carlene saw a mouse. I didn't move from the couch for several hours.
Addie and Hallie had a lot of fun! They didn't want to leave, but they lost the battle to three crying boys.

Peyton loved the sand for about 20 minutes.

Trey in the zone. He wouldn't pose for the picture. He just said "cheese" while digging away

Peyton taking some steps. What a big boy! He is proud of himself.
I didn't take pictures of Carlene puking on the side of the road. I was pretty sure she wouldn't appreciate it. Although, it made our trip more eventful.

The Star of the Show

Today was Addie's big day! Last Friday, she tried out to be in the Children's dance work show. She did a wonderful job for the judges and they asked her to be in both shows.
I thought she would do great! But had my doubts when in warm ups she came and grabbed my legs and started crying. Being the loving mother that I am I told her to shake it off and snap out of it. There were too many people she invited to see her and this behavior was not acceptable. Apparently that did the trick.

She went on stage and performed her little heart out. She was the youngest soloist. She did an outstanding job.

Although, all the dances were great, she was my shining star.

flu shots, well baby and I think I am still sane

I like my doctor. He is a nice guy. but two hours is too long for anyone to wait to be seen. To make matters worse, I had all three very delightful children with me. I was making Peyton's 12 month appointment a convenient time to get Trey and Addie's flu shots.

So what did I do during those two hours? I held two screaming boys. One on each knee until Trey clobbered Peyton and I had to try and put Trey in a restraint type timeout. Which meant I had to put Peyton down and then hold Trey so he couldn't escape from my tight grasp. However, he could still kick. So Peyton, who was trying to climb up my leg, was getting kicked in the head by Trey. So then I had to put Trey down and comfort Peyton, which made Trey jealous and round 2.
Meanwhile, Addie kept opening the door and shouting out to the nurses station. "When is the doctor going to get here?"
Peyton is now 25 lbs. 31 inches and 90th percentile in both. He also has a herniated belly button (pictured above) or a second unit as his Uncle Phil calls it.

This is Trey's evil twin. He is the one I see the most. He makes a lot of public appearances these days. But only when I am around. When I leave him with Harmony, Carlene or my mom, he is an angel
Angelic Trey!

Addie has spent the afternoon crying because her shot hurts so bad. She refuses to walk. I am not sure how the shot in her arm affected her legs, but apparently they are no good now.

Anyway, I feel like I deserve a major award!! Erin, when are we doing our first annual momsies awards? I nominate myself !!!!

saturday is a special day

Addie and I had a girls day! We went to High School Musical 3 and to a Christmas craft fair. The flower in her hair was our purchase at the fair. We then went to Family Dollar and purchased new PJ's for the boys.
The kind with feet because their room is the coldest one in the house.

Aren't they sweet?

Addie at the movies with her kids meal. She said her favorite part of the movie was the whole thing.

Picky Peyton

Mr McPeyton is picky, picky picky!!!! You wouldn't know it by his fat boy stature, but he refuses to eat most everything I give him. He went on a cheetos diet a few weeks ago. Followed by an all waffles diet. Now I can't get him to eat anything at all. At least he loves milk and juice still. Landan says not to worry, he has enough reserves to last a long time.
So those of you who have picky eaters, share your secrets PLEASE!!!!!
