Little Miss

Addie was in the Little Miss Pageant last night. She had a great time and was ecstatic when she was crowned queen. The only thing she was bummed about is this means she can't be in it next year.
The question she was asked was what do you want to be when you grow up? "I want to be a doctor because I want to help people get their babies out. Thank you." She also put her hero as President Obama because he is smart and looks like her and because she still insists that he is her uncle. and said if she could go anywhere in the world it would be to Alabama to get a baby sister.

This is Addie with Karen Rowley the queen of the younger division. Maybe the judges liked red huh?

Grandpa Jim with Addie

Grandma Patty and Grandma Carla with the queen. She also was lucky enough to have Aunt Carlene and Aunt Harmony attend as well as her great-great Aunt June.

What I liked about the pageant was the service project. All of the contestants and their mothers or Grandmothers made blankets to give to trauma victims. I am glad there was more to it than just fluff.

The finished product.

Very exciting! That is big news. So what's her platform? Is she going to get to be in the parade?

OHMYGOSH... how cute is she!?!

Lemme tell you that I loved your comment on my blog. I'm here to say that if Alexandra wanted to be in a beauty pageant, I would totally support her.... as long as that's what she wanted to do. I don't love when parents force that on their kids... or really sports and stuff too. Sure I agree there is something to teaching them how to be committed to something and not give up, but I hate it when the parents "live" through their kids and it is obvious to EVERYone else that the kid is miserable. And sadly enough, there are a LOT of moms in the pageant circle that do that thereby ruining it for the girls that really do want to be in it and the moms that just want their kids to be successful and let their kids occupy their time and talent in a constructive outlet.

Congratulations to Addie and to her beautiful blanket. They are both beautiful.... Way to give back to the community. I plan on seeing her in the Payson parade... it's like the only thing that I still do in Payson. :) (will she even be in it? Well, you should tell them they should.) ;)

Quit living your dreams through Addie.

Just kidding everybody!

She looks be-utah-ful. Can we borrow her crown for Halloween?

Megz just made me snort DC through my nose. That was funny!

Congrats to Miss Addie! I bet she had so much fun and had such happy dreams that night. What a cutie. And I really love that they had a service project for the kids. That's teaching them so much! Great job!
