orchard days

Saturday was a big day of celebrating. Carlene and I ran the 5k in the morning. In the womens 5k I finished 2nd overall and 1st in my age group. Carlene finished 9th overall and 1st in her age group.
After the run we rushed to the parade. It was a great parade as always. My kids got enough candy to last a lifetime.
We decided not to go to the rodeo this year but in our backyard we can see the fireworks perfectly. Addie and Trey were so excited to see the fireworks. Unfortunately by the time they started, Trey was too sleepy and said he would rather go to bed.

NICE job! I can't believe how super speedy you are. :)

And btw, running is doing you great, you look to be in great shape!

Poor Trey, but usually come like 8:00, I'm too tired for anything else either. Well, that's usually all day but by the night time I'm far less likely to humor anything. :)

What are you going to do in the winter months with no 5Ks?? Maybe you can just come first place in TV watching or something.
YAY for that parade. We'll just have to come steal your candy this year.

That would be pretty fun to run and WIN!! way to go!!
I'm not sure I'll ever know what that feels like. Maybe I should take up watching TV like Megz says (after the 10k this weekend.)
