Jesus wants me for a sunBEAM

I know when you see a picture of this sweet boy, you automatically assume I am going to share a story about more naughtiness.. okay, that is partially true. PJ and Trey did manage to pull all the insulation off the walls of the unfinished part of our basement. PJ also decorated his bedroom floor, walls, and bed with fingernail polish. But really the story I wanted to share today was PJ's first day of sunbeams!

I can't believe my baby is in sunbeams! I had been telling him all week that he was going to be in primary now. He acted like he understood. He seemed excited. After sacrament meeting he was pulling on my arm "come on mom let's go" I thought this was going to an easy transition. We arrived at the primary room and I tried to get him to go through the doors. Instead he bolted. He ran upstairs to the nursery. I tried for several minutes to take him back in to primary. He would not go. Finally, I had the brilliant idea to have his old nursery leader take him in. She did it, and it appeared to work. However, I found out later, that he escaped from the primary and was heading back up to nursery, the bishop caught him and brought him back. PJ, then fell asleep on the bishop and didn't wake until church was over. So he doesn't even know if he likes sunbeams. I guess we will try again next week.

Addie is super excited!  She is officially on pre team at gymnastics.  Coach told her if she works hard she could be competing this Summer.

How funny. That is cannon's favorite song right now. Good thing he still has another year of snackin' and playin'. Good luck!

Poor PJ. My kids love primary and have never been difficult about that. I wonder why I am so lucky? It certainly isn't skill. I hope he stays awake next week and you can see if he likes it then.

I was expecting Alex to have a hard transition, but she went and loved it. Trust me, I'm just as shocked as you are.

Nice work for Addie! A competing team though will probably be somewhat expensive, right? I just hear how much Alex's dance recital is going to cost and I'm all... and so it begins.

Oh well. Childhood memories come at a price, right? :)

I wouldn't mind if the bishop took my naughty kids for a Sunday nap every week. He's probably getting more in his sleep from the bishop's meetings than he would from sharing time...

OK, so my Payton isn't quite this much of a troublemaker! What beautiful children!!

I'm the sunbeam teacher in my ward... it's been super tough for my new class to make the transition. Good luck to Peyton - I hope he loves Sunbeams before he knows it!
