Oh what a night!!!! Home Sweet Home!!!

I opened the front door tonight, to tell Adddie to come in the house and was alarmed by the the natural gas smell. No, not the natural gas Landan leaks on a regular basis and is so proud of. But, rather the gas we pay for each month. I told Landan we should probably call Questar and aren't we glad we did.

Questar arrived at our house and after some investigating came to our front door and told us to get out immediately. We were not supposed to touch anything. Just get our kids and leave. They told us to expect to spend the night somewhere else. So, I ran to the boys bedroom to retrieve them and ran to the car. Only to find Landan carefully stacking all his bikes and checking the tires and giving them a nice rub down. The Questar guy reminded Landan again, to hurry and leave. He gave his bikes one more lingering glance and got in the car.

We arrived to my parents home. "surprise" we greeted them; "We are spending the night." I don't think they thought we were such a great surprise. Go figure! who wouldn't want Landan and I, two toddlers and a five year old to spend the night. Sounds like a treat to me.

My mom got busy setting up beds for us. My dad took out his hearing aids and turned the tv up really loud. Kristine(lil sis) started plotting on ways that us spending the night could some how result in her getting to stay home from church in the morning. I got the boys into bed and then we sat there.
Fortunately for us, at 10:30 they called us and told us we could come home. There was a gas leak against the west side of the house. They had fixed it and hallelujah we could go home. I don't know who was more relieved, Us? or my Dad?

I remember the days when Landan looked at you the same way he looks at his bike.....
I can't imagine why your parents wouldn't want a sleepover. Don't they know how fun you are at night?

I still can't believe that Landan left the bikes behind. I'm positive that Adam wouldn't have evacuated without his precious baby. It's like our 3rd child you know.

Adam read this earlier and really enjoyed the comment about Landan leaking natural gas. He He!
