Just because it made me laugh

Peyton found this wig in Grandma Carla's dress up stuff. He enjoyed wearing it around. It just made me chuckle.

Two Parties, A white christmas and santa delivered!

We had a busy Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! It started with opening pjs after breakfast. Later in the evening we went to the Monty-Huff Christmas eve shindig.
Santa did not forget my kids and they were thrilled with their presents. Christmas afternoon we went to Grandpa Jim and Grandma Carla's for a big party! It certainly was a white Christmas!
The kids in their new pajamas

Grandma Patty gave the grand kid Church bags. They are filled with age appropriate quiet activities for church time.

Grandma Carla made blankets for the grand kids

Addie as Hannah Montana! This was a gift from Grandpa and Grandma Huff

Addie's main present from Santa was a balance beam. She loves it! She has mastered a cartwheel on it and thinks she is pretty cool!

Peyton with a Christmas purchase

Trey got a fire Truck ball pit. He loves to sit in it and throw the balls out. His favorite gift would be the bubbles I purchased at the dollar store.

My hubby bought me a pre-paid drink card.

and running shoes and a mp3 player.
I gave Landan a subscription to Sports Illustrated and much needed clothes and socks. We had a great Christmas!

christmas eve eve!

Only 2 days until Christmas and what do you do with antsy pantsy -kids? Well you take them to the mall to see Santa of course. As you can see, we had a great day visiting Santa. I wonder if that is child abuse to make your kid sit on Santa's lap just to get a picture??
Way too cute though!

Kiddie Kandids approached us and said they were slow. They would take our kids pictures and give us a free 5x7. You may only see Addie in the photo. That is because we couldn't pry Trey's and Peyton's fingers out of Grandma's and my neck. Maybe we shouldn't have seen Santa first.

Addie didn't mind being the only one in the photos.
We all enjoyed happy meals before returning home. Merry Christmas EVE EVE Everyone.

What a Life!!

props to Landan because he certainly works hard. However, he also play hard and I am a bit jealous. When is the last time I got to spend my Saturday at the Gym followed by several hours of xbox, and then several more hours of watching football. Now, perhaps these activities wouldn't be my activities of choice, but it would be nice to be able to be kid free and care free for that many hours.
Trey following in his daddy's footsteps! You are never too young to start being obsessed with entertainment systems.

last dance post until Spring (hopefully)

Addie received flowers from her dance teacher after her Tuesday night performance. Bless her little heart, she wanted to turn around and give them to her kindergarten teacher. However, by the time we got home she had changed her mind. It was a nice thought anyway.
The dancing is done! Last performance was this afternoon in the middle of the snow storm. We bought her tap and ballet shoes in September. She has already outgrown them. Why do their darn feet have to grow so fast?

Looking cute in the tap number

Jazz number! pants didn't fall off this time!

Addie was happy that Grandma Patty, Harmony and Kelton were able to watch her. I was happy to have help with the boys!

Winter Madness!

I woke up this morning to falling snow. It was one of those mornings I wished I could just stay in my pajamas and be lazy. But, no such luck! Today, Addie had a dance performance at 10:15 at a local elementary school. She also had her kindergarten Christmas program at 11:00. I figured if everything was on schedule we could make it!
Well, they started late! To make matters worse, Trey was throwing a temper tantrum the entire time. After Addie's first number I helped her change costumes and told her when she was done with her next dance to run as fast as she could to the car and I would be waiting for her. She came running out to the car at 10:57. She changed her clothes in the car and we arrived at her school at 11:01

Their program was cute! Jeannette held Trey so I actually got to watch it. Thanks Jeannette!

Some of Addie's BFFs. Some of whom got her thinking she wanted a doll house for Christmas. Which was never mentioned before on her list. So sorry! Santa won't be getting her a doll house even if the letter from Santa she brought home from school, suggested that he would.

A day of dancing and partying

The Hula Dancers! Who knew Grandpa Huff was such an awesome dancer!?
Today was a big day! Addie had a dance performance bright and early this morning. It was lovely. My camera is having issues though and I hardly got any decent pictures. The only mishap was Addie's pants falling down during her jazz dance.

We also had the Huff family Christmas party. We had a lot of fun with hula dancing, basketball and the nativity story . The Angels!

One of the three kings!

Trey was only interested in basketball and food.

Look at that kid!

Trey and Addie practicing dance!!

Addie pants falling down. Poor girl

her class right before performing. The only picture I got before my camera had issues.

Gingerbread House!

This is the first year of making a gingerbread house with the kids. I hope it will now be a tradition. Everyone enjoyed it. Peyton had fun destroying Hallie's and Addie's hard work. Waylon and Trey enjoyed eating the candy before the decorating, during, and after. The gang making the gingerbread house.
Waylon and Trey busy eating the candy off of it.

Addie and Hallie hard at work. They took the decorating very seriously.

Their finished product. I am so proud.

Christmas party with santa

We had the Heelis family Christmas party tonight! It was loads of fun as always. But, the highlight for the kids has to be Santa. My great Aunt June sitting on Santa's lap. I love Junie! I hope am that fun at 82
Trey wouldn't go near Santa so Mom played Santa for him. You can see he loved that

Peyton obviously enjoyed his time with Mr. C

Addie, as to be expected, is posing for the camera.

Addie gets yarn braids

Carlene tried out the yarn braids that she learned how to do at African-American hair night. We like the end result but holy cow VERY time consuming.
Addie and Carlene mid way through the process. Addie has a nice chocolate milk mustache.

Modelicious!!! This girl likes to pose.
